ACRL Oregon Professional Development Remote Scholarship Winners
The ACRL-OR is pleased to announce the winners of the E-Learning Professional Development Scholarship. The E-Learning Scholarship was created in response to conference cancellations due to Covid-19 and is designed to support remote learning opportunities for librarians. Thanks to a matching-fund grant from the State Library of Oregon, ACRL-OR awarded 8 scholarships of up to $175 each to the following individuals
- Sergio Lopez, from Mt. Hood Community College, will be taking a beginner JavaScript course to support the creation of interactive learning materials.
- Stephanie Michel, from the University of Portland, will be taking a Mindfulness for Reduced Stress course from Library Juice Academy.
- Meredith Farkus, from Portland Community College, will be taking a Mindfulness for Reduced Stress course from Library Juice Academy.
- Jennifer Ferro, from Lane Community College, will be attending the LOEX 2020 Conference, now online.
- Dan Kelly, from the International School, will be taking an Online Instructional Design and Delivery course from Library Juice Academy.
- Sarah-Ruth Tasko, from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine & Portland State University, will be taking an Emotional Intelligence for Librarians course from Library Juice Academy.
- SD DeWaay, from Clackamas Community College, will be taking a Techniques for Student Engagement in Library Instruction course from Library Juice Academy.
- Kate Williams, from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, will be taking the course LRM: A New Foundation for RDA and the RDA Toolkit from Library Juice Academy.
