Confirmed Conference Sessions:

Keynote Address: “Moving from Service Work to Collaboration”, Diana Park and Nicole Hindes of Oregon State University.

Join us as we draw distinctions between transactional patterns of work and more collaborative approaches within the academy. We will unpack common approaches to shared work and contrast these with an approach we brought to a collaborative effort to build “Leadership Lab” a new program at OSU’s Basic Needs Center. These anecdotes and examples showcase pathways to center student success, subsequently illuminating ways leadership development efforts complement goals to build critical information literacy skills. Participants will be challenged to consider collaborative approaches to leadership as a basic need-  as relevant for libraries as it is for our broader communities.
