Job Posting: Collection Management Services Librarian

Pacific University Library is seeking an innovative and collaborative Collection Management Services Librarian. This faculty position:

Provides leadership in the Collection Management Services unit. Supervises acquisitions and cataloging activities and provides expert guidance on cataloging/ metadata issues for both traditional and emerging content collections. As a member of a collaborative and dynamic team, the Collection Management Services Librarian engages in innovative initiatives, both across units within the Libraries and through inter-institutional partnerships.   Within the Libraries, this position partners with the Special Collections Librarian and the Scholarly Communication Librarian as part of Local Collections and Publications Services, which is charged with setting goals and priorities for digital collections and the Libraries’ institutional repository.  The Collection Management Services Librarian also works closely with the Electronic Collections Librarian to ensure discoverability of resources. Within the Orbis Cascade Alliance, this person will actively participate in consortium-wide groups, such as the Collaborative Technical Services Team,  to plan and implement technical services workflows which take advantage of the capabilities of the consortium’s shared ILS.
