2012 Fall Conference — Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

You are invited to apply for a scholarship to attend the 2012 ACRL-OR/WA Fall Conference, “Libraries out loud: New narratives of enduring values.”

The Fall Conference is a two-day, single-track opportunity to learn more about academic libraries in the region, meet colleagues, and discuss key issues of our profession. The conference is October 25-26, 2012, at Menucha Retreat and Conference Center in Corbett, OR. Our fabulous keynote speakers this year will be Barbara Fister and Char Booth, with a special session featuring the Center for Social Media.

ACRL-OR will award two scholarships that cover the registration fee for the conference, including room and board. Scholarship winners are responsible for paying for their own travel. The scholarship committee is standing by to read all about why you want to attend the conference, in 250 words or less.

The scholarship application deadline is Friday, September 14. Applicants will be notified in early October. Priority will be given to applications from first-time attendees, students, and under- or unemployed librarians.

If you have questions about the scholarship, please contact Amy Hofer (ahofer@pdx.edu).
