People and publications at Portland State Library

Kimberly Pendell joined Portland State Library as Social Sciences Librarian in October. Kim holds a BA from the University of Oregon and an MSIS from the University of Texas at Austin. Before returning to her home state, she worked as Assistant Information Services Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago and as Volunteer Librarian at the Dziwani Knowledge Centre for Health in Lusaka, Zambia.

Also in October, Molly Blalock-Koral was promoted to Access Services Manager. Molly began at the Library as a student in 2000, and has held the positions of Holds Clerk, Billing Clerk, Student Supervisor, and Circulation Supervisor. She earned her MPA and BA from Portland State.

And in December, Nathan Mealey started as Manager of Library Technologies. Nathan received his MLS from Simmons College in Boston, and worked in IT consulting for two years before returning to work at the Simmons College Library as the Information Technology & Systems Librarian from 2006-2010.
